Paul has been conducting tours since 2005 whilst working at the Natural History Museum, where he developed his passion for presenting history in an entertaining and engaging way. Since then, he has built upon his experiences and knowledge to provide fun, enjoyable and interesting tours.
Paul devotes a great deal of time to researching each walk and has developed a deep knowledge and understanding of the history of London. He endeavours to provide an enjoyable experience on each and every tour; you’re sure to find him friendly and full of conversation.
Qualified Tourist Guide of the City of London
Paul is a fully accredited City of London Tourist Guide, one of the highest qualifications that can be awarded by the Institute of Tourist Guiding, the governing body for guides in the United Kingdom.
To gain this illustrious and respected qualification, candidates must undertake an in-depth course of study about the City of London that lasts an academic year, during which they must take a series of practical and written exams, designed to test their knowledge, competency and presentation skills. Accredited and examined by the Institute of Tourist Guiding, the qualification is also recognised and presented by the Lord Mayor of the City of London as the official tourist guides of the City.
Not only is Paul a member of this respected group; he also lectures on topics related to the City for private audiences.

City Guides: Tales of the City
In January 2015, Paul was privileged to take part in a photographic exhibition at the Guildhall Library entitled ‘City Guides – Ambassadors of the Square Mile‘ (November 2014 – March 2015), celebrating the City of London guides, and delivered a brief 6 minute presentation on his experiences hosting tours in the City. Camden Tour Guide Association
Paul has obtained a qualification in the Camden Tour Guide Association course, which focuses on the detailed study of the London Borough of Camden, covering Hampstead, West Hampstead, Highgate, Camden Town, Bloomsbury, Fitzrovia, Gospel Oak, St Pancras, St Giles, Belsize Park, Primrose Hill and Holborn.
Recognised by the Mayor of Camden as the official tourist guides of the Borough of Camden.
